SCHOOL RUGBY TEAM SUCCESS

A big congratulations to the School Rugby Team who reached the silver finals of the Birmingham Exiles Tag Rugby Tournament.

A special mention goes to Teigan who scored 8 tries and won 'Girl of the Tournament' out of over 60 girls.
Rugby training will continue every Wednesday lunchtime after half term if any more year 5's and 6's want to play.

Lunchtime at The Oval

This is what our lunchtime looks now. The intra school competition in the field is working really well. Children, who are already in houses, compete against each others in order to score points for their houses. We give extra points if they follow the Code of Conduct.

Code of conduct

The Oval Primary School

Code of Conduct for Competitions

We all have a responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour in any game, competition or festival. As a participant, you have a big part to play. The Oval Primary School supports The Football Association’s Respect programme to ensure all sport can be enjoyed in a safe, respectful and positive environment.

When representing the school, I will:

• Always play to the best of my ability.

• Play fairly – I won’t cheat, complain or waste time.

• Show respect to my teammates, the referee, my coach / manager / teacher and opponents.

• Show respect to the other team/opponents by joining in with ‘3 cheers…’ at the end of a match / competition and shaking hands with every opponent.

• Thank officials, including referees, umpires and teachers for giving their time.

• Enjoy and appreciate the opportunity of representing the school.

Blogging rules.

Hello everyone!!
I’m so excited about our new PE blog, it will be a fantastic way of us sharing our learning between ourselves and others.
However, we need to remember to follow a few simple rules so that we stay safe and get the most out of our blog.
Please follow the blogging rules:
1. Only use your first name when you comment.
2. NEVER reveal any personal information – your address, phone number, etc.
3. Be polite and respectful – don’t post anything that could hurt anyone. Remember – even if your opinion is different, we must ALWAYS respect that other people’s thoughts and feelings may be different from our own.
4. Remember, all posts and comments are checked by staff before they are approved on the site.
If there is anything you are unsure of, just ask!
Apart from that, have fun! Lets make our PE blog fantastic!
Mr. Garcia.
